NEC SV9100 recall a transferred call

Is there a way for a incoming call transfer to be recalled after it hits the extensions voice mail greeting? I can recall it while it's still ringing the extension by hitting the recall button and then the flashing answer button. However, once it hits the voice mail greeting, I can no longer recall it back to me. I would like to be able to pull that caller back to me so I can inform them that the person they were trying to reach isn't available. Is this possible or do they just need to leave a voice mail at that extension? Thanks!

Only way, would be to program the recall timer (10 seconds for example) and Call Forward no answer for (12 seconds). this would result in no calls going to voice mail.
Call would recall to you, you would then transfer back to the extension, followed by dialing 8 and hanging up immediately, to send the call directly to voice mail.

Outside business hours, you would need to toggle the system from Day to Night mode. Program a new timer class with a call forward timer of say 10 seconds.
Assign this timer number to all extensions in mode 2. Dialed extensions would now end up in voicemail.

Easiest way is do a supervised transfer. You can hit the flashing CAP or trunk key to pull it back.

My phone is the only one with trunk keys on it so that might not be the best solution in our case. I tested on my phone and none of my CAP keys flashed or did anything at all when I attempted a transfer. Do you have any more info on a supervised transfer?

You need to try with an outside call. Supervised means you stay on the call after you transfer it to announce the call. Then just pull it back. Might even be on the display of the phone.

I called my office line from my cell and then transferred the call to another extension. It rings 4 times, then the voicemail greeting starts. This is the point I want to 'pull it back' but there is no option on the phone to do that. We're using NEC ITY 8LDX phones. While it rings, I have these options: VMsg, TRF, RLs. Once the voice mail greeting starts, they disappear and Talking to InMail shows up. Am I missing a setting somewhere that just needs enabled? Thanks!

ngstan,
Seems like you wasting time watching to see if someone answers the transferred call to pull the call back.
Why can't you or whoever announce the call when transferring, if they are sitting at their desk and they want the call, release the call, if they don't reply when you announce the call press the flashing CAP key or trunk key to pull the call back and give the caller different options, such as voicemail or another agent?
