I have a device (Sensaphone 400) that requires an analog phone line. I attached it to an analog port on the NEC SV9100. When called, the device will answer and give status information in a computerized voice. The problem is that it only answers if the ring cadence is set to one second on, three seconds off (the normal North American analog cadence).

My business has mostly analog phones since the environment can be harsh. In order to distinguish between internal and external calls, I set the ringing cadence for external calls to be cycle 6 (half second on, half second off, half second on, one and a half seconds off) and the ringing cadence for internal calls to be cycle 12 (one second on, three seconds off). I use program 20-15 to do this.

The Sensaphone will not answer when I call in off-site, using a trunk (PRI in this case but it doesn't matter). The Sensaphone will answer if I call it from another internal phone.

My question is, how can I change the ringing cadence for one analog extension instead of for every extension (20-15 is the only place I see where i can set ringing cadences at all)? I have already set this one extension to be a "modem" (vs. "fax") and that does not have any effect.

My software version is 8.0.65.

On my system, there is no 15-03-12. In fact, several options are "missing":

01 - Signaling Type
03 - Terminal Type
04 - Flashing
05 - Trunk Polarity Reverse
06 - Extension Polarity Reverse
07 - Enabled On-hook when Holding
08 - Answer On-hook when Holding
09 - Caller ID External Module
10 - Caller Name
14 - Forwarded Caller ID Display Mode
15 - Disconnect Without Dial After Hooking Hold
16 - Special DTMF Protocol Sending
18 - Select Special Terminal Type
Use Program 15-03: Single Line Telephone Basic Data Setup to set up various single line telephone options.

What log in are you using? You should be logging in with the manufacturer password. It's listed in the programming manual.

I thought installer was the highest level. Nevertheless, option 15-03-12 is still not present (under manufacturer login).

Try logging in with WEBPro &/or through a phone. It could be a bug in PCPro.

It's not anywhere. WebPro, PCPro, and through phone. It's either a deprecated feature (I'm on 8.0.65) or it's been disabled somewhere else.

If you log on to webpro as the slt extension ie 201 and the default password, you can change the internal ringtone there, does that help in any way? The only other setting i'm unable to find in service tones (easy edit)
