Have just installed a Ver 4 SV8100 with ME50 Card/InMail/PRI Card/2 x 16Port Digital EXT Cards.
Simple set up using Digital telephones only.

Went live 2 weeks ago.
Immediate fault.....
System freezes i.e.the DT330 LCD displays shows date/time as normal on all phones, but no dial tone.
Only way to clear is power the system off/on.
Sometimes happens randomely thru the night. Coming in next morning the phones all display the time it stopped.

I suppose it looks like a CPU fault.
Unless one of the other cards is causing this.
Anyone seen this type of error?

I have set up system monitor via Telnet and it displays much detail.Not sure how to read this though>

Try re seating the ME50 and CPU card. Try updating to R 5.01. It was just released fixing some issues.

Yes, Hope to upgrade early next week. I will recheck the ME 50 card too.
One thing that puzzles me..... On the front of the CPU there are 5 LED's
1 = Green Flash =ok
2 = Steady Red
3-5 = Off
This 2nd LED comes on straight away, as soon as it boots up under normal working conditions.

You can use CMD 90-10 to set up alarms. You will need a manual to identify them. CMD 90-53 can be used to clear the alarms. These commands may need to be done through phone programming. The alaram may just be from a reboot.

Upgraded to Ver5.1 and it did not clear the fault. Still froze.I had to fit a temporary Panasonic KXTD for he customer, because it is effecting the business.
Have just fitted a replacement CPU today, (upgraded this to 5.1 also) and see how that goes. If it stays up for 24 hours I can assume, hopefully that this will be the end.
I am going to have a problem with the licence that I have already applied to the first CPU ?

The license can be transferred, but your purchasing department needs to contact the NEC customer service department and obtain a license transfer number. The person with NEC license portal rights needs to do the transfer. You will need to have the old CPU key code and the new one available when you do the transfer. Remember, once the CPU is powered up it is fully licenses for 60 days.

make sure you dont have any ports programmed for the inmail hunt group that dont belong, this can cause freezes
