We're kind of stuck right now between Verizon pointing to our PBX vendor and them pointing back so I'm desperate for some help. We're using Verizon VOIP services (through an Adtran router) that connects to a SV8100 NEC PBX. We have the PBX set up with the VOIP line (dial 9 to get out) and also a POTS lines for backup (dial 8 to get out).
- If we use the VOIP lines by dialing 9....when calling international numbers in Mexico or Europe (15 digits including the 011), we just get dead air...no sound of it connecting to anything at all, no Verizon messages...hang up and the CAP light stays lit red for a good 30 seconds or so. When we dial other countries (14 digits or less), the calls go through. When leaving off the last digit when calling Mexico or Europe, we get a Verizon message that the call cannot be completed as dialed...so we're not blocking country codes or anything.
- When we dial 8 to get out via the POTS lines...everything works fine.
- I checked 21-06-03 for max dial digits and it's set to 30
- Verizon states when doing a debug on the Adtran router, they can see the 14 digit numbers when I dial but not the 15 digit ones. So they're stating the calls aren't getting past the PBX.
- Vendor states that if we can connect using the POTS lines and with no Toll Restrictions set then the PBX isn't the issue.
Anyone have any ideas on what would cause this?
