Im trying to work out how to set all trunks to divert to an external number. I can be a mobile extension if easier.
Can any one list the steps necessary.
What kind of trunks do you have?
Have you considered using call forwarding from you carrier?
Without knowing how your trunks are set up for incoming calls, it will be difficult to instruct you.
Do they ring to an auto attn first? ring phones first? SIP or PRI trunks?
Yes we thought of that but want to be able to switch on and off instantly and have control.
Were only a small site 6 lines 14 extensions with nothing complicated setup
We have 6 isdn trunks which just ring our extensions in 2 grops which I think currently point to extension virtual extension 600 which rings all phones
If the calls all pointed to VE 600, then use MB 24-09 to call fwd all 600 to the outside number.
Or, set up a night mode with a night button. Set MB 22-02, mode 2 to DIL. 22-07 DIL to a virtual, then CFA to the outside number. Place a night button on a phone, assigned as option 0, (follow setting in 12-08). Toggle the button for day/night mode.
A more complex way it to divide your DID translation tables and use those to send calls to the outside number.
