Small business consumer and questioning if a member of his staff can listen to his phone conversations after the staff member puts the caller on hold and notifies the CEO of the small business.
If barge in is all set to privacy - is there another way?

You cannot barge into a call on hold. If you have the trunk line appearance,you can grab it off of hold.

Could you help - what do you mean trunk line appearance?
Another ?, can 2 extensions conference in or barge in on another extension? so say you have 2 people sitting at 2 different work stations , 302 and 305 and both of them, barge in on another extension, say ext 301?

A trunk line is an outside line from telco.
Barge in and monitoring are available. You may need changes done in class of service to allow it, and/or a button on a phone to make it easy to use.

Thank you for answering, it's appreciated. Barge is available on 1 of the phones, but not all of them. Say if barge is available on extension 302, but not 305, 302 intercoms 305 and then barges in on 301 - is this possible?
Also wondering,it mentions you are an instructor. Is there a way you can do a consult with me (for a fee) on some features of this phone system? I am willing to pay and it needs to be rather quickly. Please let me know.

Compare class of service in MB 20-06 to see if one extension is different that can do the barge in.
As for training, I cannot due to a conflict with my employer. However, you can contact them for remote support.

i can't tell you how much I appreciate your direction. I will do a web search. what state? One thought - barge in is apparently off - however i think they are getting through via room monitor or conferencing - is this feasible?

a telephone guy was saying that barge in HAS to be enabled for them to listen in on a line -
