Setup:
nec ips 2000
DMR addon
dterm-8d phones
dlink 48 port, 10/100 +4gig, poe switch

Problem:
Static on some phones, and an intermittent alarm beep to notify that packets have been dropped.

The phone system has its own simple flat network, isolated from data network although the data and VOIP networks do share the same firewall.

- Jacks and cables tested ok
- new switch
- new firewall
- dterm-8d phones are questionable, a few have bad LCD displays.

I am waiting for my service provider to provide service on this system however any assistance looking through the matworx command interface for log files, this would be of great help if anyone has the knowledge to share..

Thank you in advance!

Mike

Ok

some Dterms had known display faults, so that aside, Is the problem solely on the Dterms connected to the DMR or is it only on IP Dterms?

The entire system is IP dterm 8d phones, the DMR is in the environment because the company was much larger 300+ phones.
The DMR was at one of our satellite offices and the Server at the main corp office.

Now we are only using 30 phones, within a block of 100 DID's and the DMR and the main phone system are now on the same switch.

there is also a Zeacom server used for voicemails on this network
