Have an NEC Neax 2000 IPS that seems to have lost date and time - display phones show Jan 1 0000 - and time resets to 0100 with power cycle.
Going through Command 02>2 to set time, says OK, shows correct time, but when picking up handset/hanging up to exit command it returns to wrong time.
Trying to go through Command 02>0 to set year but wont save 2024 ;
Trying command 02>1 it will accept the new Date (today example: 062805 = June 28, Friday) and says OK but again when exiting command it returns back to Jan 1.

Feel like I may be missing a step - anybody have tips on this one ?

Are you sure you clicked on EXE after making the change? EXE writes the data. Then do a EC6 save to back up data.
The only other thing I can think of is that if there is a battery on the CPU it may be depleted and end of life.

Apologies, should have mentioned was trying to do this from Telset programming.

Was able to get this resolved but going to document here as reference as the normal steps to set time alone or set date alone did not save, but when doing them together date then time it did.

For some reason following direct from NEC doc for these phones and version ( From NEC ) did NOT work.

However - the steps from ( ) did! Including photo of display before fixing as reference too.
These steps WORKED here:

1. Press [TRANSFER]
2. Press [CONF]
3. Press *
4. Press [TRANSFER]
5. Press [CONFI
6. Press #
7. "CAT MODE" displayed on LCD
8. Press [REDIAL or LNR/SPD]
9. "COMMAND" displayed on LCD
10. Press 02
11. Press [RECALL]
12. Press 1
13. Press [RECALL]
14. Enter Month Day and Week (MMDDWW) (SUN: 00 MON: 01 TUE: 02 WED: 03 THU: 04 FRI: 05 SAT: 06)
15. Press [CONF]
16. Press [SPEAKER]
17. "02>2>Current Time" displayed on LCD
18. Input correct time using military time (HH MM SS)
19. Press [CONF]

(When this was done we still had to go back and fix the year - steps 1-11 the same, but change step 12 to "Press 0" then enter correct year: 2024, then Conf to save.
