I have an NEC IPK with a 4 Port VMP (DOS) voicemail card. When a caller is transferred direct to a voicemail box, he hears the personal greeting and then a beep followed by more beeps and can never leave a message. It is happening on multiple mailboxes. At times after the first beep, you hear just silence but you are not able to leave a message. After that first beep, you hear a funny sound almost like a disconnect. I've tried replacing the voicemail card and it has the exact same problem leading me to believe it's more in the processor. Not sure what it can be.

Once you get transferred to the VM, the VM takes over. Should not be the phone system, however I would suggest resetting the phone system to be sure. Try building a new mailbox using the default settings. Place $ in front of the mail box ID then you can build a duplicate one. The users may have set some options up that is creating the issue.

Thanks Belevedere! I'll try resetting the system but first have replace the CPU battery. I just programmed the card and shipped it to them and they just plugged in the VMP last week and don't think they are setting up any options in their mailboxes.
