Need help on overriding current caller ID on NEC IPK telephone system equipped with PRI.

Please explain further. Are you looking to turn off CID to an extension? To the CO?

belevedere, Thanks for the reply. I am trying to change the outgoing caller ID on a PRI circuit within the NEC Elite IPK telephone system. I believe that in memory blocks 4-47 & 4-62 it is possible, right? I have not ever had this request before now. Also in memory block 4-47 look at Note #5 in the Programming manual for the conditions.

belevedere, Thanks for the reply. I will let you know real quick as I am going to test this tonight with the provider (Level 3 Communications). We have to test in the after hours (after 530 pm) because the current telephone system (NEC Elite 192) is not capable of doing this so I have set up a test switch (NEC Elite IPK) that does it. If it works we will be inserting the IPK (CPU only) in place of the Elite 912. I have been told that the KSU's are the same, therefore making the upgrade capability very easy. Is this true ? All I have to do to test is to swing the current PRI circuit to the IPK. Wish me luck. Thanks.

The CPU should work, however look for a CLK card on the old CPU and move it to the replacement if necessary. It's required for clocking for the PRI.
