We have our main Office in Minnesota that is a Panasonic PBX based office. We opened a new office in Montana and for a time we communicated with the main office using Panasonic IP Phones set by DHCP to connect to the MN Panasonic PBX, each of those IP phones having their own extension, so that when a MN user was trying to call some MT user, they were just dial in the extension for that MT user.

Now since our MT office is growing we felt the need to get a PBX system for this office too and we purchased a refurbished NEC Elite IPK with around 15 phones. Since they are not the same system brand, we were wondering if this new NEC system can work with the MN Panasonic one to exchange extensions, so that a MN user if they want to call a MT user they can do the same thing as before only this time the gateway to be the NEC PBX.

The Panasonic System is a KX-TDA Digital Hybrid.
