I have a NEC Elite 192 system and my users are complaining about long connection times on LD dialed numbers. They are stating that after they dial a LD number, the amount of time it takes for the call to connect is 6-7 seconds before they get ringback. The connection time on local calls is only about 1 second. This system is on a single PRI to the LEC. Below is a email I got from my vendor:
"We have made the max digits down to 11 all the timers are set to the lowest timer possible so right now we are at 7 secs"
Does anyone have any suggestions? Apparently if they hit a # sign after the dialed number, it goes right through. I've worked in the CO environment before but can't think of a translation that would cause this. Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I have remote access into the PBX, but am not very familiar with it.
