We have NEC Dterm 80 phones in our office and I can't find the manual. We have one phone in the waiting area that is restricted and will not let you use long distance. We have turned this into an office now and I can't figure out how to change this setting. Any help would be great!

Thank you

You need to change the restriction level to that of another phone that is un/less restricted.

see cmd 1201>XXXX>YZ

where XXXX is the extension number and Y is the Day restriction level 0-7 and Z is the night restriction level 0-7

typically 0 allows everything and 7 allows only internal dialing on the systems I maintain.

Ex. if ext 1000 has no restrictions but 1001 is restricted, lookup cmd 1201 for 1000, then apply those restriction levels in cmd 1201 for 1001.

1201>1000>11
1201>1001>66 - change to 11

What feature on the phone do I need to change this or how do I look up the command? Thanks for your help!

It's not a feature on the phone. it is programmed into themain memory of the system using the commands shown above. If you don't feel up to programming it yourself, you will need to get a tech in to do it for you. If you want to try it yourself, have a look through the FAQs and they will show you how to log on and do simple changes.
