Hello everyone,
Ive been a long time viewer of this message board and it has helped me countless times. So first off, thanks for all of your help!
We had a new DSX-40 phone system installed for a small company that resides in our office. I was not here when it was setup, so im trying to figure out what they did.
Whats happening is people are calling, it is correctly ringing on the reception desk, but if she does not get there in time, the call is put into a voicemail box. The VM message reads our number in a computer womans voice, and says leave a message. I for the life of me can not figure out where these messages are going.
My users have ext 300, 301, 302 and 303. What id like to happen, is the person calls, if no one picks up, it is put in the VM box for the receptionist at ext 300.
When I look at the DSX software (installed on my server) I can see the Intramail VM config APPEARS to read UCD master extension 700, but when I login to Ext 700 there is no message and i even recorded a message and it is not heard. On the Answer Tables the default mailbox is 300, which is what I thought controlled where the caller lands. Can anyone point me to where the VM lands after the call is not answered or how to modify it?
Thanks for your help. We also have a Nortel BCM and it seems a lot more user friendly.
