Hi, I have my travel agent in one of the crowded area in one of the hotel. The phone is provided by the hotel. I know that for digital phone, they are using NEC Dterm Series. I know nothing about NEC PBX. My agent has one of the basic phone. They call it analog phone and i check it yesterday, it has 2 line but it comes from 1 cable. I dont think it is possible for analog phone to have 2 lines from 1 source/cable. What kind of phone/system is this. I need to replace the phone because the receiver is very bad.

It is possible to have two lines from one source cable. Most cabling nowadays is 4 pair cable. It only takes 1 pair to run a line. Thus you could have up to 4 lines from one source cable. Analog phones are just stadard phones like you have at home . You can pretty much replace the handset with any store bought reciever.
