We're converting from comdial to NEAX 2100. The system is working but the vm is a seperate box running the AD120 s/w voice mail solution. I believe they're now calling it the UM8500.

Anyway both NEC and our local NEC support are telling us we need the original disks that were cut for this system with the domain name and serial number so we can manage and change users, extensions, domain etc. which we don't have.

Is there a way to do this with out the disks? The quotes I'm getting for a new vm system is pretty step. Are there 3rd party solutions compatible with the NEAX.

THanks for anyone's help.

Steve

I think the real question here is how can you change the domain on the UM8500. I'm being told its hard coded into the s/w disks from NEC, so if you buy a used system you don't get the license for the vm s/w?
