Hello Yall,
A client of ours has the NEC 9100 with a bunch of remote sites. They are feeding MOH to these different sites from the main PBX

The question is:

Can they feed different audio files to different sites?
If so, is additional hardware required...Would anyone be able to provide programming tips on how to do that?

Currently all sites are playing the same MOH message, which is not what they want

Thank you in advance for any tips

Just get some MOH devices and plug them into the main processors at each site and program accordingly.

So there is no way to feed different audio to each different site directly from the main SV9100?

Thank you so much for your reply

Possibly if you have PGDAD units. I am still trying to get an answer on that for myself.

We have a company in Western Australia that is called Captivate. They provide a music on hold system that automatically updates every day (it can include news items). So you can arrange each site to have daily updates for each sites MOH. There may be a similar offering in the US or they may be able to help. I can supply contact details if required.

Thank you all for your replies

NEC PGD(2)-U13 adapter, takes an MLT port on the system, and allows you to play separate MOH Files to different parts of a business/different sites.

11-06 - Extension Numbering only needed for testing
14-08 - MOH Source for Trunks - Set ACI Port to trunk
22-11-09/10 MOH Source for Trunks - Set ACI Port to DID
33-01-01 - Set to MOH/BGM

If MLT port has previously been used by MLT Phone, may need to go into 10-03 and unassign in DLCA Configuration to free up the unit.

So, basically. Setup the PGD (always use the last port on an interface, otherwise the PGD uses 2 ports - eg. port 4, 8, 12 and so on)
Plug in PGD, Set in 33-01-01 to MOH/BGM, then go to either 14-08 if you are using POTS/Dedicated Trunks, or 22-11-09/10 if you are using DID

This allows you to play different MOH files across different indials/trunks
