Trying to integrate AD-8 into a Neax IPS, using the "await answer" transfer method, experiencing delay between subscriber picking up call and voicemail recognizing that call has been answered, i.e, call keeps ringing - up to 4 seconds. Any suggestions?

So are you saying a delay is normal for this type of transfer?

Blind transfer is always recommended. Await answer waits for the station to answer the call and ties up ports for the duration. It's only used when a user wants/needs a feature that requires it. Such as the announce caller feature.

Also there is a really obscure command that can screw up a blind transfer if you are using ISDN. Command 08 second data 405 the description is Consecutive speed dialing when making an ISDN call. If this is set wrong the system will not allow a blind transfer over ISDN!

I should have added that it took me a full day to find this one recently!

Ok thanks for the clarification guys....
