We have an old NEC NEAX2400 lab switch that was powered
off a few months ago (do to relocation) and just recently
powered back up. Unfortunately the database seems to have
a problem. The MAT terminal (IMS) appears to be connected
correctly but when I try to display any data via the
various commands, it says no data assigned. When I try
to add anything new (like a STN) it fails as well and
displays an error 0351 code. Everything appears to be
connected correctly, it's a small system so there really
isn't much to it. Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you, Chip

HOw old a switch?

The older 2400's had a battery on the front edge of the cpu and memory cards to retain memory for the office data. Those could be history. Have you checked for any switch dialtone at the blocks?

Well, I would have to guess the hardware is at least
8-10 years old. There does appear to be a small battery
pack on the front/side of the PA-ME48 card. There is no
dialtone anywhere. Anyway to do a reload of the database?

Thanks, Chip

connect your MAT again.

When you get the error code press F1 to see what it means. If it is a baud rate issue try command ATCC on the MAT and play with the speeds. Are you sure you are connected to the proper port for your MAT?

Do you have one or two IO02-a cards in your pim with the CPU?

If you can get the MAT connected you should be able to restore an old database if you have one.

Without connecting your MAT you have no way to load a database.

I'll see if I can find anything out about your error code and post back.

Thanks very much. I will check it out and post my results.

Thanks again, Chip

The MAT does appear to be connected. There is only one
cable and it is labeled MAT term. The PBX has only one
IO02 board. It seems to be connecting, and when I try to
display a station it says that "data is not assigned",
which leads be to believe that it does connect but just
can't find the database. The baud rate was set to 9600,
I did try a couple different rates but it made no difference.

Thanks, Chip

I do have a couple floppy's, one says DMBU backup and one
says ACD backup.

When I go to the DMBU menu and select "L" for load,
it says it can not find the file in the D drive.
I put the floppy in the drive but something still
seems to be hosed.

I just figured out the DMBU problem. I loaded up the
old (very old) database and it looks like it worked.
Any idea where I find out the Infolink IP address info?

Thanks for your help, Chip
