HI!

We have a NEAX2000IPS with CP24 and Ap00, we are trying to connect MAtworx via the CP24 with the original cable RVS--155 CA-A (single socket) with DB25 Male. we've placed a DB25 to DB9 cable converter as we are using a USB to DB9. Unfortunately there is no response in MatworX.

The Ap00 has an existing cable 48 TW0.7 conn CA Dual connector for the SMDR, we've rerouted this cable to the CP24 and only the SMDR data was uploaded.

Is there any pin configuration required for the DB25 to DB9 converter? We've also tried a modem eliminator in between but no success.

Any thoughts on this? appreciate any help.

Thanks!

The CP-24 has 2 connectors on it. Usually the bottom one is for the MAT connection, however it could have been programmed for other options (internal SMDR, MCI, etc). If you try the upper connector, it may work, but it is usually set up for the internal modem connection. As far as the db 9-25 converter, it should be straight through. The MAT-CA-P is for the MAT connection, but a RVS cable will work also. Look at the white label on the cable for the designation. If you try to use the upper connector, then you must check a switch setting for MAT VS. modem. If you change the switch setting, you have to reset the system.
SW 2-4 set to off is for the MAT connection on the upper port.

Hi Belevedere,

As always, thank you for the assistance, I changed the db9 to 25 cable and everything connected.

Thanks!
