Hey Guys,

Does performing a B-Load & C-Load on a CP00-C or a CP03 invalidate the IVR code on that cpu? F83>2>=1 (invalid)

Thanks!

Yes. An NEC vender can re-acquire it. It requires access to the NEC IVR server and a valid NEC tech ID.

If you provide the following information, I can try to get it for you;

CMD F80 de 0 de = CPU SN
F80 de 1 de = Disk 1 SN
F80 de 2 de = Disk 2 SN

Wow

I'm going to show my ignorance here and say I haven't even the faintest idea what the IVR code is and of what use it is. Anyone care to fill me in?

The old IVS 2000 required a software disk to be loaded, plus a second one which increased the port size from 64 to 512 and added CCIS + ISDN PRI features. The IVR number, once obtained from NEC is loaded into CMD F83>0. This opened up the system to the added features and ports. Without it, you only could use one PIM (64 ports) and no CCIS or ISDN.

This is somerthing we did not have down in NZ/Aust, we got all the features and 512 ports by default. Later on when the IPS arrived, then we had software licences to take care off

This would probably be what we would call a feature upgrade and if you blew the system away and then expected it to know that it had certain options then more fool you. Sorry to put it so bluntly but what did you expect? It reverts to the purchased spec!
