On IVS2 and IPS when you doe a backup you get options for "Basic", "Basic/Option", "OPtion" etc. What does the "Option" backup?

AP cards.
The default setting will back up the system database except for any AP cards such as the AP-00.

The default setting is for Basic/Option. On some sites if I use that option it will backup ok but some sites will get a Time-out error. (there are no option cards). If I do "Option" only I get a sequence error. I am just concerned that if I use "Basic" only that I am getting a complete system backup (again no option cards).

Time-out errors can occur on remote back ups due to the time required for the back up. Locally you should not be getting that.

But if I have no option cards and I choose the "Basic" only option, am I getting a complete backup?

The "All office data for MP (Basic + Option)" is whatr you want to do. And, it is selected at the default database save.

If you have an AP01, AP00, 4RSTC, etc., you want to selecte the radio button for "AP card" then, select the AP card you want save.
