Is it possible to turn message notification on/off via the phone? I don't have a console interface and have a few mailboxes that do not get message notifications.

yes you can in setup options (7) while you are in your mailbox.

What happens is that some phones don't turn on the message lamp when there's a message. I don't get an option for message notifications under setup options.

Solution was to use command 1303 and set it to 0.
