NEAX 2400IPX : Simultaneous ring out trunk?

Hi!

I'm working with a company that has an NEAX 2400IPX and I'd like to ring both an internal NEC extension and also out a PRI simultaneously. I'm integrating the NEC with another PABX via PRI and need to ring both phones at the sametime, but have CallForwardNoAnswer via the NEC to voicemail.

I've heard this may be possible if we're using Q.SIG for the trunk interface, but can't find any references to this. Anyone know if this is possible and what terminology or feature I should use when talking to the NEC partner?

Can't say I've ever come across this requirement. Why do you want it to ring and dial out? and what is the other machine?

It's known variously as "simultaneous ring" or "single number reach" and I've seen it typically discussed in terms of sending a call to both your deskphone and cellphone simultaneously.

I have an NEC phone in one location and another PBX phone at a different location (connected via a router with a voice card in it and IP) and the inbound trunks for the extension are on the NEC.

I was hoping with the NEC we could configure something like a vector (in lucent terms) but have it ring both an extension and an external destination at the same time (with whatever we can do for CFwdNoAnswer).

Sorry don't know of any way to do this but that doesn't mean it can't be done. You'll have to wait until some of the american experts come on line and I don't expect them today in view of the date.
