Hi all,

I've been assigned to maintain another system. Previously I've been maintaining HiPath 4000 and Unify OSV, so this system completely new to me.

I need to set a hunt group for pilot number A with 3 other member (B, C, D). I've tried to configure using CAT mode. By referring to manual, it still not working. Calling pilot number didn't go to the next station if no pick up.

What I want to do is. External call A, if no pick up within 3 ring, it will go to B. Same goes at B, when no one pick up, it will go to C followed by go to D.

Another issue is, DID number displayed wrongly on one of the extensions. How do I change the DID display number?

Thanks for the help

Setting up a hunt group is as follows; A to B, B to C, c to D, D to A. Using CMD 18X to set up the type of hunt and the members. The first time you call the group you will get a busy tone. This activates the group. Call it again.
Or, use call forward busy and chain the extensions together. We usually do this using virtual extensions. The lead number can be a DID so it will work from the outside.
DID translations are done in CMD 7600, 7601, 7602.

Hi belevedere,

This is what I've been doing but no luck so far.
Let the extension as per below

A = 200
B = 300
C = 400
D = 500

ST + 180 + DE + 200 + DE + 300 + EXE
ST + 181 + DE + 200 + DE + 1 + EXE
ST + 182 + DE + 300 + 00 + EXE

ST + 180 + DE + 300 + DE + 400 + EXE
ST + 181 + DE + 300 + DE + 0 + EXE
ST + 182 + DE + 300+ 01 + EXE

ST + 180 + DE + 400 + DE + 500 + EXE
ST + 181 + DE + 400 + DE + 0 + EXE
ST + 182 + DE + 400+ 02 + EXE

ST + 180 + DE + 500 + DE + 200 + EXE
ST + 181 + DE + 500 + DE + 0 + EXE
ST + 182 + DE + 500+ 03 + EXE

All extensions are physical extensions. Is there anyway for me to check either this feature is available? This is my first time to maintain NEC system.

Why are you setting secretary stations, Cmd 182?

Check Cmd 1212 for the CLI (I.m assuming you mean it is displaying wrong to called parties)

Hi OzzieGeorge,

I thought CMD 182 for hunting group order. No? Should I just set it to 31 instead?

Hi OzzieGeorge

I just change the CMD 182 to "31" but no luck so far. Try to call 200 from external number, it ring at 200. After some time 200 stop ringing but 300 do not ring. I can't find where is ring though. Is there any where to I need to check beforehand?

180>100>200:exe
180>200>300:exe
181>100 (pilot)>1:exe
181 - all others default to members
call 100 hang up, call 100 again, hunt should work as a pilot linear hunt group. This means that if 100 is idle it will be rung first. If busy and you call 100, 200 should ring. If 100 becomes idle it will ring first.
If you want a circular hunt, then do the same in 180, with an additional entry, 180>300>100:exe closing the circle. Then in 181>extension>,

0 = Not used
1 = If station is busy, hunt in original direction
5 = If station is busy, hunt in reverse direction
CMD 183 = display only, will show members of a hunt each time you press DE it will advance to another member of the group.
MATWorX shows it better in the GUI formatted programming.

Hi belevedere,

I just do as you suggested. But it still doesn't work. As for the MATWorX, I can't get the modem to use it since I work at the offshore. Is there any way to to make the ring shorter, for example 3 rings then jump to the next station.

You want it to hunt on no answer and that would be easier set up with call forward no answer! IIRC station hunting only occurs on busy, not no answer! This can be set using Cmd E602!

Hi belevedere,

Is there any way I can shorter the duration of call forward. Currently it's too long. Let say I want the call to be forwarded after 10 seconds no answer

EDIT: Never mind. I found it. Been doing as suggested by OzzieGeorge. I using call forward instead of hunting.

CMD 410> items 01/15/46 refer to a command manual for details. Typically we set all 3 to the same value because on is for CO calls the other is for internal calls and the third is for multiple forwards.
