Hey Guys,

just wondering if anyone has set up a VPN with the following routers...

FVS338 (at main location) to FVS114 (at remote location)??

i have the VPN tunnel built and the phone gettings it files. after it gets its files, i get a blank screen then...Discover xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

i do have the IP Route built (is the Default gateway the ip address of the local LAN of the IP OFFICE, or the local LAN of the remote phone?)

i do have the VCM in

do i have to do anything to the routers to get this to work? do i have to turn off anything?

I use 114s all the time, but I have had issues with the 338. Do you have the route set up in the IPO? you will need an IP route to send the packets back to the phone. Does the vpn work otherwise? Can you ping hosts across the network in both directions?

i can ping hosts across the network, but i cant ping the IP OFFICE.

in both the 338 and the 114 the VPN shows connected. i can ping other computers on the far end.

i have the IP route in the ip office as follows...

ip address 66.0.7.0

subnet 255.255.255.0

gateway should i put the ip address of the far end router or the local router?

destination Lan1

if you can not ping the IPO then your routes are wrong. Use the local gateway address in your route.

hey guys,

got it to work!

thanks for the help!!

i think it was that i was putting the wrong local gateway ip address. i put the gateway address of the ip office location in the ip route and it started working.

thanks and sorry for the brain fart!!!
