i wish i did too. i just bought one, that thing rocks.
thanks for posting it.

Oh now I just GOTTA get me one of those! 66 and 110 PDT blades? How cool is that!

Oh, I am so getting the PT-525. That would eliminate half a tool bag.

Markertec has it a little cheaper than most.

looks really good, to bad it does not do BIX.

I got a quote from Graybar for $78.74 for the PT-525.

if only it did BIX then it would be useful.

looks like a piece of crap. SOG blows. I do all that now with my leatherman supertool 2000 and still carry around a complete tool bag.

by the way 110 and 66 are impact tools. this thing has no impact. what do you do rockit?

Youcandoit, you sound like a salesmen for supertool 2000. I would guess that this tool is for rare occasions. Punching down 100 cat3 or cat5 cables with this tool would be a waste of time but for that quick fix I do not see a problem. Sometimes a tool is just a tool for convenience. I'm sure all the members here including yourself are always looking for a quicker and easier way to get things done. This is just a tool that does it for them.

nope only use it in dire circumstances. as i mentioned i carry a complete toolbag. im not as saleman either. i'll leave it at that.

The PT-525 pretty cool tool too bad they didn’t add a butt-set to it ;-).
Great for quick service without carry your tool bag around of course it's not going to replace you’re normal tools image punching a thousand pair down with it.Great for doing some quick service without announcing to everyone that you’re in the office and getting ambushed.

The only issues with the PT-525 I've found so far are when using the punchdown tools - try to wear heavy leather gloves; you're jamming the palm of your hand into the open joint of the tool and it will leave a nasty mark on your hand. The leather carry pouch is OK, but not optimally designed - the belt slot needs to be higher so the tool rides lower. The black dye of the pouch will also rub off on your clothes, too.

Oh, and this thing is BIG - more than twice the size of a standard Leatherman.
