I running an inherited Exchange 2000 set up on Win2K, with a RAID 5 array partitioned 4GB, 20GB and 12GB. Exchange stores are on the 12GB partition which is rapidly running out.
Rather than totally rebuild the server, is it possible to move the message store to tne 20GB partition which is virtually empty.

Sorry if this is basic, but I can't seem to find any Technet stuff about this.

I too am having the same situation...Would appreciate it if you would pass info along...

Thanks alot...

Basically, Navigate in your System Manager to the Mailbox Store folder - should be under the First Storage GRoup folder.
Right-click and select properties. Select the Database tab - you are able to specify the location of your mail database here. You need to dismount the store before you can change location.

It's also worth checking that the new directory structure is not compressed to avoid mount errors after what is an already lengthy process...
