We recently migrated from an older Server running Exchange 2003 STD to a newer Server running Exchange 2003 ENT on the same Domain. I replicated all the Public and System folders and Rehomed folders as per MS KB822931. I moved all my mailboxes using Exchange Tasks. I Ran EXPA and implemented all the recommendations. I made the changes in my firewall to the NAT settings to point to the new Exchange Server. I can send and receive emails ok. My problem is when users send emails using address lists. The NDR notification lists the old server as the SMTP Server. I can send to them individually but not using my address list. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is causing some grief.

HI,

If you do a send and recive, and download address book (in outlook) - do you get any errors.

Cheers

When you say address list, are you referring to the GAL or individual distribution list set up in Outlook?

On your workstation, check if Outlook is set up to use Exchange Cached Mode. If so, uncheck that option and try to send an email.

Sorry I have not replied back but things have been a little hectic lately. Installing Exchange is a lot different than managing Exchange. I am glad to say that my problems have been resolved. My problem was with a few address lists but not the GAL. When I went into the Exchane Advanced tab of the Address Lists under ADUC, The old Exchange Server was selected in the Expansion Server field. Once I changed that to the new one all went well. Thank you all for your posts.
