I have a win2k pro workstation that is running novell client 4.83 sp1 that looses the ndps printers whenever the server reboots or when the workstation is shut down. The next time you boot the workstation up the ndps printer is gone. I have to rebuild it.

Any ideas -

thanks

I have figured out the answer to this problem on my own, I built a print queue in nwadmin and attached it to the ndps printer and now there is no problem, the workstation can log off and back on and the printer stays.

The solution you have mentioned is used at my company also. Works well. -----------------------------------------------------

Check the win.ini file for extra printer entries. The first clue would be that the file is too big to open in notepad, would you like to open it in wordpad. If so, wipe out the printer entries.
Secondly, there's a registry key that should be altered per Novell TID 10057003 and 10058895 regarding print provider order.
Normally this is for older clients, but if you did a workstation upgrade, some of this old stuff might still be in there.
