First off, hi, I'm new. New to this forum and new to Aloha. I am IT support for a small group of restaurants. One of their newly acquired businesses runs Aloha. I have no experience with Aloha. The plan in the near future is to upgrade their BOH server. Before that happens though, we have an issue with NCR Pulse no longer grabbing real time data. I have opened support tickets and the response seems to be a bit slow. The last bit of info I have is this "The site is showing online in CMC. VNC is working but the folders are not loading. VNC'd into the BOH, restarted Radiant CMC Agent, but folders are still not loading. Proposing to revert it back to Heart Beat."

Any ideas as to what I can do on my end to get Pulse back up and running? Thanks in advance.

make sure the terminals are not in redundancy and end of day is running.
you will also need to install the pulse application on the server in order for it to pull data.

Apparently the service was working up until about two weeks ago. What services need to be running for pulse to work other than the application that you mentioned? I'm thinking maybe something was disabled at start up.

We have been having issues with Pulse as well. Speaking with a supervisor about this, it seems that NCR recently updated imagent.exe ( which pushes data to the pulse platform ), it turned out to have a glitch, and they had to revert back to an old version. That has caused our issues.

As for your server being offline in CMC, if you go back to heartbeat, you can have issues. Heartbeat is used as a transport protocol for services that don't yet have their own communications. NCR online ordering does not play well with heartbeat, and installing site agent will definitely cause issues since the two of them battle for priority.

I would call NCR and log a ticket with them directly...1-800-792-5642 if you have not already.

Is there a way to revert imagent.exe back to the older version? Pulse is still isn't reporting real time data or sales data. None of the terminals are running in redundancy. I have two tickets open, but NCR has been extremely slow to respond, and when I call them, they tell me they will have a tech call. I still havent received any calls from a tech :/ I just dont know where to go from here.

Any idea where I can download the server side Pulse app?

Server side? Its built into their enterprise software, so there is no downloading of the server side of things.

Pulse is an auto updater, so it does this on its own. The developers are confident their stuff is working correctly now. Restart the following services in this order - pollcheck.exe, imagent.exe, then Radiant Heartbeat.
