I am trying to use NCR 7402's with Aloha 6.2.24. I am trying to configure the MSR to work. I can swipe in windows to a notepad but cannot when Aloha is loaded. Can anyone help me with this issue please?

thank you

Doesn't anyone use NCR's with Aloha TS? I am three days from opening and cannot get the MSR's to work. Does anyone have any tips on making the MSR's work? Do I need to find a special driver or setting in Aloha 6.2.24?

Any help would be appreciated

Never used them.
I believe they have to be setup and tested through the NCR OPOS software and then you go into Aloha Manager to terminal maintenance and there is a place to tell it to use the OPOS instead of keyboard wedge and input the name you gave.
Does it work in OPOS?

I have the same problem. I use Aldelo POS, and i absolutely recall it worked when i swiped with notepad. Now when i try it just gives me %b or something, and nothing more.

I tried some settings from NCRConfigurator.exe i downloaded from NCR support site, and its still no good.

When i swipe in cmd prompt, i get the same or person, but nothing else.. its a bit crazy. Hope someone answers it.

If it swipes fine in Notepad, maybe it's a keyboard wedge MSR. Try setting it to Keyboard Wedge and see what happens.

Under the setup of your terminal there is a Reader Tab. Under there you need to flag Use Mag Swipe reader, then choose OPOS MSR from the drop down, then for the OPOS: type NCRMSR.2.

I think that might start you in the right direction. I think you then need the NCRWedgeStartup running on the terminal. I am not entirely sure where you could obtain that but i would start with NCR's website.
