thread798-1174418

I followed all the advice for using LD 23 to re-route all calls to a DID # to a mobile phone (actually did this years ago in a prior life as well so it was a little familiar). I tested it by dialing the ACDN internally and it worked great. When I dial the DID # from an exteranl line however, it forwards to meridian mail. This is an option 11a. Am I missing a code of some type for routing from external to external. Help Please...

is the did your dialing the same as the acd dn?
or how do you have the did going to the acd dn?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes. ACDN is 2176, DID is 359-2176. We added a mailbox behind the ACDN just to see what would happen. If we dial 2176 from an internal DN, it forwards out to the mobile. If we dial the 10 digit number from an exteranal phone (i.e. come in through a trunk and try to go back out), it goes to the voicemail box we setup. I'm really not a phone guy but understand it logically. I'm thinking it is some type of "trunk to trunk" restriction although we can forward our phones to external numbers and when we dial those numbers from external numbers, the external re-rout works so maybe thats not right. perhaps there is som type of translation on inbound calls to ACD? Yikes.. I can do simple set stuff but routing is beyond my abilities.

I think you need to change the ncos of your incoming trunk to allow local calling. It is probably set for ncos 0 now for internal calls only.

when do you get the busy?.. inbound and outbound on the same route? hard to mismatch tgar/targ that way..

if you forward to the acod, then the number, you take ld 90 out of the picture, but you need to setup ld 48, nfrl..

fastest way, cdb option cfo, change that to cff.. test it once, let us know

Our system is an option 11 compact. Still haven't figured this out. Tried entering ACOD in NCFW but errors out as soon as you type a letter. Temporarily accessed outbound trunk directly bypassing routing. This works. Not the answer I was looking for, but works.

Acod is the access code of the trunk route. You can printt the route in load 21. For a four digit acod the ncfw programing might look like this..
ncfw 222218661234567. 2222 is the acod and 18661234567 is the phone number you may or may not need the area code and or the one.
