Hello,

Here is my environment:

- Netbackup 6.0 Server on Windows 2003 RC2 (master / media on the same machine),

- This machine used as a client to backup a network path on a NAS,

- backup selection as an UNC path, uses wilcards ( \\nas_name\vol0$\~snapshot\nightly.0\* )

Netbackup generates 10 jobs (multistreaming / multiplexing enable)
I got a code 71 error (none of the files in the file list exist) when backuping an empty directory. Other jobs are working perfectly.

Is it a known bug ? Any Idea ?

On Netbackup 5.1, I could have checked the /Netbackup/db/client/[client_name]/STREAM and removed the file to force the reprocessing of the streams but it's different on Netbackup 6.0 with EMM and I don't know how to do that.

Thanks.

I think this is a normal function of NB.

I have always got 71 errors on empty directories too..

Thanks guys for your answers.

Actually, I use multiple Netbackup environment.

On my Netbackup 5.1 environment, empty directories don't give a 71 error message.

I've just started another NB6 environment on a new site today and I got 71 errors on empty directories as well.

Seems to be a new... hum... feature in Netbackup 6.0. :p
