NB 4.5 GUI - Media disappeared

Has anyone ever seen ALL the media disappear from the GUI after inventorying a robot (robot is an ADIC 10000) Tapes were injected and the robot was inventoried all the tapes showed as 'mis-matched' then they disappeard from the GUI. After stopping ALL the services on the master server and restarting we were able to see the media again, however we are still getting the mis-matches. Any Ideas?

Let me guess you using Netbackup 4.5 FP3 . this problem is with the Admin Console. Upgrade it to FP5 it will go away

I've had this happen with 4.5 fp3 but when I lodout then log back in it works fine

Don't rely on just GUI for Netbackup. I do everything command-line (whether cron'd or manual work). I only ever use the GUI for a quick reference ie to see if a job has just started; even then i don't trust it too much. (we're on 4.5FP6, i found the old MOTIF GUI back in 3.1.1 much more stable and reported stuff accurately). From what i've seen so far, in 5.0 the GUI is still not very honest with its reporting or particularly stable. We run netbackup pretty much automated, all we ever have to do is swap tapes out when an automated report sez that we're running low on scratch/or for offsiting; so luckily we don't rely on the GUI anyway
