Nav Bar not auto-expanding

I found a tutorial that shows how to make a webpage nav-bar using Fireworks 4. My problem is, when I follow the last steps using Dreamweaver 4 I do not get the same results.

How do I get my header and the left table to auto expand depending on the webpage when a person connects to my site?

The reason your nav bar won't expand is because you have used pixel widths to define your tables. You need to convert them to percentages. No matter how big your browser, if your table is only 600 pixels wide it will always render the table as 600 pixels wide. If your table is defined with a width of 85% then it will always be 85% of the size of your browser window.
