Norton Antivirus 2006
Dear forum members,
After having installed NAV 2006 I encounter two problems:
1a) I start NAV with "D:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Symantec Shared\NMain.exe" /dat
:\Programme\Norton AntiVirus\navui.nsi /goto:Norton AntiVirus\Status
The status window opens.
All entries are designated as 'urgent'.
'Please wait until the status is being actualized.'
Nothing happens.
1b) I close the status window.
Second start of NAV, cf. step 1a.
Status window opens.
After a short time the status of all entries is displayed correctly.
Why does the status property of NAV not work correctly after step 1a?
2) In options-Norton Antivirus the following entries are activated:
- activate Auto-Protect
- start Auo-Protect when Windows is started
- display Auto-Protect-Symbol in the system tray
After Windows start there is no symbol in the system tray.
In Windows-Administration-Link to Management-Services the service Norton-Antivirus-Auto-Protect is enlisted as started/automatically; im msconfig-startup the program navapw32 is also activated, but the NAV symbol in the system tray is missing. Only after step 1b (second start of NAV) the NAV symbol in the system tray is displayed.
