I have installed NAV 2003 and have an annoying problem. After the reboot at the end of the NAV2003 installation, windows starts with the "Norton AntiVirus Information Wizard". There is a next button to proceed through the wizard. Pressing this next button does nothing and I have to close the window.

If I right click the NAV icon in the system tray and select "Configure NAV", the options screen loads. However, nothing happens when I try and chose an option on the left or click the "ok", "cancel" buttons at the bottom - I have to simply close the window again.

I have tried:

1) uninstalling/reinstalling NAV
2) reinstalling IE6 (difficult task as trying to install IE tells me that it's not passed microsofts xp logo testing?!)
3) reinstalling WinXP over the top of my current installation.

Any help would be much appreciated!

If the Norton AntiVirus Information Wizard doesn't run, you don't have a complete install of the program. Did you have an antivirus program on it prior to this install? If it was a prior version of Norton, it may need to be cleaned out using rnav2003. If not, you may have an existing virus on the system that's preventing the new install. Try doing the online scan from Symantec or Trend Micro's website.
