A client just upgraded his PC from Win98SE to WinXP Pro. The first thing he did after finishing the upgrade was to re-install NAV2003. He gets a message just prior to NAV restarting the computer after the install, that 'An unauthorized program has attemted to change settings which usually means the presence of a virus.' NAV is showing a status of "Auto Protect - Disabled, and E-Mail - Error". However, after installing the latest def's (030107) and running a systems scan, no virus is detected.

Removal and re-installation of NAV2003 produces the same results. I've seen this once before but can't remember what fixed it.

Hi,
I have the same problem and I think symantec has trouble with some files you will get by live update. If you install and run NAV without doing a Live-Update NAV runs as well as you expect. But after Live-Update NAV Auto-Protect is disabled and eMail-Protect shows "Error". If you enable Auto-Protect it will be disabled immediatly.

Does anyone know a solution?
Greetings
