I have a requirement where I need to set up NAT on a remote location device for my LAN IP range. The firewall will be setup for on the remote location on WAN to set for Nat'ng. My concern is will this work. We have routing to the firewall from our location. Will I need to do some typical configuration for this to work.

Thanks for Anticipation

Hello
Networking is very flexible, with lots of ways to make things work.Take a shot at it,and if it doesn't work get back to us.

Hi Minue, Thanks for your reply however I am new to configuring this so if you could guide me I will start looking into it.

As you're posting in the Cisco forum perhaps you should look here:

However it depends on what you're using NAT for - if you're thinking of connecting a router directly to the internet you'd be better advised to look at a real firewall device, PX/ASA/ Checkpoint/ even a cable router may be worth a look.

Although I am aware of NAT configure, my only concern here is that inside IP is not directly connected to the firewall where NAT is configured. It located across WAN & I need to confirm if I setup this, will this work.
