Hi, It is CM/SM/SMGR 8.1. We have some small sites with requirements of two or three IP/SIP phone at each site. The only way the allow to reachout these sites is by implementing NAT. Can somebody guide how to register phone of small sites using NAT configuration?? Is there any specific configuration in 46xxsetting required??

Don't?

Use a remote worker SBC if they can't be on-net

Site dont have SBC. They are using NAT with all remote offices and told us to use a NAT to connect the J series hard phones. Is there any particular configuration required for SIP phone using NAT to get registered? Is there any problem using NAT?? i amen any pros and cons.

Put a SBC at the main office and have them connect over the internet.

Can you use SIP manipulations in the router at site, sure. The cons are its absolutely unsupportable.

Thanks Kyle for the response. How about VPN? can we use VPN?? is it supported??

H323 has IPSEC VPN client in it, but depending on what RFCs for IPSEC are supported on the branch site's router, multiple devices setting up IPSEC out of 1 site might not work right.

and for SIP phones?? J series??
can we use VPN option to get registered to SM??

Ok and thanks. Can we do that with third party VPN client??
