Hi

I have a Microserver NL40 running Windows Server 2019 and i am trying to connect to my Terstation TS-XLC12 NAS. My server ip address is 192.168.1.4 and my NAS is 192.168.1.8. I can ping the device administrate the web UI from the server however i am not able to browse to \\192.168.1.8\Share via UNC path. I have setup a share called Share and everyone has permission to it. I have factory reset my NAS and still have the issue

I get an error saying The account is not authorized to log in from this station.

If i use my laptop over wifi to connect to it via the same router my server is plugged into it works fine without an issue so i believe its something on my server, short of doing a reinstall of windows i am at a lost.

Things i have done
Cleared our credential Manager
tried with a new windows profile
changed IP address of the NAS and Server
Reset up the share on the NAS
Can ping and connect to the Admin interface

I can do a Teamviewer Connection to it if thats allow to look at it.

Any further ideas please let me know

Have you setup file/folder permissions?

"For shared folders, there are two sets of permissions you'll need to deal with. The best way to go about permissions is to grant "Everyone" or "Authenticated Users" Full Control at the share level, then set the NTFS security to reflect the access you want your users to actually have.

In this case, set the share permissions as above, then on the folder itself, add "full control" permissions for Domain Users.

I'd also suggest removing permission inheritance as well, but it's not overly necessary - depending on your usage needs."

Instead of everyone, if possible use authenticated user.

Make sure any changes to the NTFS file/folders are propagated down through sub folders.
