Can anyone help me with some tips about the Naming conventions to be followed in Cognos Impromptu,Powerplay and IWR.

Hi Badhri, did you ever get any feedback to your question? What did you decide after all?

George

As far as I have worked with Cognos consultants, there is none. It is up to you to adopt one.

I will second oimFriendly's point, it is more up the client (yourself) what you would like to name things. However I would propose to stay away from crazy characters in the names (but that is more for programming/automation purposes, and sometimes there are problems with the server applications if your objects have wierd names). Ex- using any of the characters that fall above the number keys, "+", quotes, etc.
