Customer has Name Tag H/Gs to attach name to dnis digits on phone display, calls go to 3 ACD paths and interflow out to a voice mail boxs. In use you only get the prompt "if you know your parties ext....." not the mail box greeting. Tried a number of things to no avail.

You will need to create mailboxes for the relevent Name Tag Hunt Group DN, then should work. The voicemail takes the first digits when arrive at the system (give or take a couple of circumstances).

I have 60+ Name tag H/Gs that go to a spanish or english path then to a Mail box for the path. It appears that since there is not a V/M that matches the Name Tag the V/M plays the default greeting.

This is true for any type of call that ends up in VM. If there is no mailbox that matches the DN, then the main system greeting will be presented to the call. Usually, the original DN will be used when a call goes to VM, regardless of the amount of call forwards/reroutes that take place. The exceptions are Name tag and ACD paths. These will strip the original DN and present it's own DN on the call to VM. Actually, this comes in handy when you want calls to be answered by the main system greeting.

As Mitelmatt said, you will need to create specific mailboxes that match the DN of your ACD paths or Name tag HGs. Then you can record specific greetings for those mailboxes.

There is another option:

You could route it to another dummy path instead of Voicemail and then interflow it to a phantom number which is re-routed always to VMS. That will will work.

To create that dummy path you:ll need to create a dummy group and put it against the path.(make sure you've got Allow Calls to queue when no agents logged in to Yes) Then enable interflow set the interflow timer to 1 sec and set the Interflow DN to the phantom number (key system or hunt group or something)
