I had a hardrive go bad on our email server, Exchange 5.5, and had to "Exmerge" all of the mailboxes out, and import them back into an empty Information Store. All of this worked great. The only problem is that when a person enters an Alias on the TO: (or any other address line) the name does not resolve by itself ... If you hit the "Check Names" button it does resolve immedialty!

Any ideas where i should look?

Thanks

That's an Outlook issue. Delete the outlook.nk2 file and restart Outlook. Then go to a new email and add every user in the address books to the To line. Hit check name.

Close email without saving.

Done.

This is expected behavior for Outlook. As you send to addresses, it will subsequently resolve them as you type. It is a caching mechanism that you are dealing with.
