Has anyone experience the nane display on some sets displaying xxxx instad of the name? We recently upgraded to release 5 and it only happens on a few sets even though they are programed the same as a set that works.
They do have CLBA but that is used for blocking outgoing CLID lines. I have 2 phones and they both have the same CLS with one getting xxxx and the other getting name display. ??? this is the cls on both phones
Ooops, that's right. I was thinking DDGA/DDGD which blocks the CPND internally.
While it sounds like the upgrade added something wacky, here are some other ideas
-It might be worth OUTing the NAME and rebuilding
-It could be related to too many appearances on the same digital line card
-TDD deployed too widely and on sets with lots of appearances has been known to make trouble.
Of course, none of these ideas 'should' cause the problem, but they are avenues to follow if all else fails.
If it is only the name that is appearing as "XXXX" then that is normally caused by the calling set having NAMD in the CLS.
If it is the DN that appears as "XXXX" then the calling set would have DDGD in CLS.
NAMD is what triggers the XXXX but I am getting it when they have NAMA as you see above. I will try and out the name and rebuild if that does not work I guess I will open a case with Nortel. I will let you guys know the outcome.
Okay, I thought the CLS you posted above was for the call-ED set. NAMD would be programmed on the call-ING set to display XXXX on the call-ED set.
Presumably your test calls to both phones are from a different phone with NAMA. If that's the case then it does sound wacky.
