Whenever I make a change to a DN's CPND, I also go into CallPilot to make the name change for the mailbox.

To date, the process I've been following to do this is to delete the previous user's mailbox and then create a new mailbox (same extension) with the new user's name.

I haven't been to the CallPilot Admin class yet, so I'm not sure if Nortel says it's okay to simply change the name without going through everything I'm doing...

Anybody know if I can just do a simple name change on a mailbox profile without corrupting CallPilot - or is it safer to continue deleting/rebuilding?

Sure, you can just chg the CP name, but it is actually easier to out it, you have to account for messages, internal, external greetings, Pwd, etc. Either way is fine.

Also you may have a privacy issiue if someone get's a Vmail box with someone else's private messages in it. better to delete it and start new.

Thanks Guys.
We get a lot of attrition in our Call Center - and sometimes I'll be changing the CPND for an Agent (and their voicemail) twice in one day - before the first 'victim' ever gets a chance to set it up. I was just wondering if I needed to out and rebuild for situations like that.
You've convinced me to out and rebuild - especially if I see there is storage resources used and any greetings recorded.
Thanks for your feedback!
