Hi All,
I was wondering that if anybody has an idea about this problem. In fact if i change first name of a person and there is a recipient policy to create email addresses based on firstname.lastname@domain.com there is no change in email addresses for that person even if i run the recipient update service.
Does that mean we have to change the proxy email addresses manually everytime there is a first name or last name change?
Thanks.

I test this using %g.%s@domain.com. I changed the users First name and on the recipient policy, right-click and chose "Apply this policy now..."
Also, from ESM I had to Choose "Upadate Now" on the RUS. Go to Recipient Update Service -> Right-click RUS(Enterprise..) Update now and Right-click RUS(Organization) Update now.

Results
User: John Doe, changed name to Jack Doe.
Old address John.Doe@domain.com becomes a secondary address.
New address Jack.Doe@domain.com becomes the primary address.
This occures if %g.%s@domain.com is set as primary address in policy. If it is a secondary address, you will end up with the same two addresses, but they will both be secondary addresses...
