Customer with CICS 2.0 8 PORTS with CI cards. I added an 8 port NAM 4.1 via a DS-30 fiber module. System protected by APC UPS.

Everyting has been workingok for several months then I have had to replace the NAM two times.

The problem seems to be that the CICS stays on line but when the customer enters F981 or F983 it says INACTIVE FEATURE. This is happening a few times a week. They have to reboot in order for it to come back on line.

I have several other installation with this configuration but this is the only one that is continuing to give me trouble.

Any suggetions?

NAM or DS-30 has an issue.
DS-30 is easier to replace.

Makes sure NAM is clean and any unused mailboxes are deleted and that GD does not have a thousand messages etc.

Could be anything.

If you did a true reinstall on the NAM when you originally installed it, you may just have a hard drive tryin' to crap out on ya.
