I am installing a new ICS 0X32 with 6.0 and a nam with 4.0 software. The NAM has a nic card in it. I am not the smartest guy when it comes to networks. But I would like to put the NAM on the customers Network and use my Nortel VM manager to do some set up and change the expiration ect. Quest is it hard to set up NAm on customer network. Any one have any experience with it? Thanks

First you need to change the IP of the NAM to match the range of the Network...ask the IT person for an IP address and change it to that.
Hook up NAM to Network Hub via regular Patch Cord.
Then on the CD that came with the NAM install NVM.
If you need more info then ask away.

Hi Curlycord thanks for your advice. I am not sure how you change the IP address in the NAM. And the software does it get loaded in the NAM or on a PC to talk to the NAM. Sorry for being so dumb on this but I am trying to learn it. Thanks

Curlycord- I clicked on the link you provided, but it doesn't apear to be working. Looks like pbxinfo's site might me acting strangely. I am wondering also if anyone has a NT part number for a NIC card, or the correct type & brand to get that would be compatable with the NAM.

Thanks for your help!

I can give you the list of NIC cards that Nortel recomends, only because they have tested with these and verified that they work. I'm gonna warn you though they are pretty darn old, however I've heard that others have worked. Post your email address and I will send you the list.
